Ryan Owens joined American Technology Research, Inc. in December 2002. Ryan spent the last three years as an institutional salesman at Raymond James Ltd., where he quickly became that firm's top institutional salesperson. Ryan distinguishes himself from most salespeople with his sharp analytical skills; he has earned both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and the Chartered Accountant (Canadian equivalent of CPA) designations.

Prior to working as an institutional salesperson, Ryan worked in research for several years at Newcrest Capital, as well as an auditor at KPMG in the technology group.

Ryan was graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a BA in Economics and Political Science with Honors where he played Free Safety on the Canadian National Championship team. Ryan also spent a year playing professional football after college in Europe with the Hamburg Blue Devils.
